Inspira & Enthuse Culture Book
Skills: Print & Layout, Concepting, Typography
Every year, Inspira and Enthuse Marketing team up to pick a theme that sets the tone for the months ahead. It's a chance for employees to share stories from the past year that match up with that theme. In 2020, the theme was "Good News Prevails." These stories are compiled into a culture book as a reflection of the year through the lens of its employees.
I had the opportunity to create the visual direction for this book and channel the spirit of the year into a visual narrative. I came up with the concept and laid out the pages for this book.
The sweeping curved lines appear to undulate representing the ups and downs of the unpredictable and unrelenting year. Almost topographical in nature, they also reveal a varied terrain; the changed landscape through which individuals forged new paths. The lines bridge from one page to the next, symbolizing the connectedness and collaboration that helped boost each other up even while apart. And lastly, the design is reminiscent of the furrows and ridges of a human fingerprint, honoring and acknowledging the very unique and personal ways each person experienced 2020.
